OLIVE GROVE

The production of olives yielded by Frantoio Fam belongs to the area in Italy known for its unique wines, such as Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino as well as Falanghina of Benevento. The surroundings are a landscape characterized by sun-rolling valleys and sloping hills in pure greenery, where olives and grapes alike grow in their ideal climate. Oleificio Fam cultivates organic olives throughout about seven hectares of land in Taurasi (AV), four in Mirabella Eclano (AV), one in Venticano (AV) and one in Calvi (BN).

Almost seven hectares are planted with olives of the "Ravece" variety. Other olives used by Frantoio Fam are also grown in surrounding areas by local growers.

Olive harvesting takes place between the middle of October and the end of November, with the cold milling taking place within few hours of collection.
